DADDY PLEASE!!

I know they say you love me

But why is it you won't look

And see that I am still the same

Sweet little girl in my baby book

Daddy, you're the one that chose to drink and drive

And I even heard the doctors say I'm lucky to be alive

Please know that even if my face doesn't look the same

It's still me inside my heart even though I'm lame

Daddy, I forgive you, and I want to love you still

I know you really love me, and you always will

Daddy, let me hug you and wipe your tears away

And then for just a little while, you can forget that day

Daddy, I heard the doctors say,

I used to be so pretty,

And they wished that they could fix my face

So folks would not take pity

Why is it me they worry about

When you're the one who cries

Daddy, please Daddy dear,

Look into my eyes

I know you didn't mean to drink and drive that day

And I hope you learned a lesson and I really pray

That someday you'll be happy and want to be with me

Since Mommy's up in Heaven now.... especially

Daddy, please tell Daddy's everywhere

That they don't mean to be

A bad man on the highway

But just don't drink you see

And then some other little girl

Won't have to be like me

Daddy, I still love you

You're all my world you see.
